I enjoy working in the Microsoft tech stack and have grown to have an affinity for JavaScript over the course of my career. Solving business problems with IT solutions is my passion. From starting with heavy back end experience, to client side development, and now to designing N-Tier architecture software solutions I enjoy being the perpetual student and teacher. For fun I enjoy spending hours out at the lake and boating.

  • Architectural Considerations: The Client Up

A dive into scaling architecture to meet your business' needs. When making these decisions it is easy to get bogged down in a myriad of decisions on is an ORM needed, are there cloud considerations, should we go with Web API or WCF, is REST needed or do we need state, do we need all the bells and whistles in Angular, is linq to entities or stored procedures preferable? It's easy to get caught up in wanting to use the latest bleeding edge software but what is the ramp up time to get the development team up to speed? Software architecture and building solutions that will scale for the long term can have a huge impact on an organization. We will go through these decisions and determine how we can better ask the right questions to get at the right sized / scaled solution for your organization.
